Centrowitz becomes 1st American to win 1500m since 1908

Matt Centrowitz won gold in the men's 1500m on Sunday, the first U.S. athlete to win the race since 1908.
Centrowitz also became the first American man to win a gold in a distance longer than 400m since 1972.
The American ran a 3:50 flat to take gold after finishing fourth in the distance at London 2012.
Reigning Olympic champion Taofik Makhloufi of Algeria took silver, while New Zealand's Nicholas Williams took home bronze.
