Taurasi jokes U.S. women will 'run around naked' to boost interest

Despite winning almost 50 consecutive games, Diana Taurasi is more than aware that the United States women's basketball team isn't getting the love they deserve.

With yet another Olympic triumph on the horizon, the national team veteran sarcastically hatched a unique plan that, in theory, should draw more attention to the women's squad.

"Hey, we’ll see after Saturday," Taurasi, 34, responded when asked if the team was getting the respect they deserve. "Run around naked. We’ll all get attention, win or lose."

The U.S. women, who have regularly beaten opponents by double digits in Rio, will look to win their 49th straight game, and collect their eighth Olympic title - and sixth straight gold medal - in the final Saturday against Spain.
