Shaunae Miller of Bahamas won the first Olympic gold medal of her career after holding off the field in the women's 400m with a dive at the finish line.
Allyson Felix took home her seventh Olympic medal with a silver, while Shericka Jackson of Jamaica finished with a bronze.

Miller got out to a big lead over the first 300 meters, holding on down the stretch as the experienced Felix charged over the final 100. Miller's dive secured a personal-best time of 49.44 seconds, while Felix finished at 49.51.
With her silver, Felix became the most decorated female track athlete in U.S. history, surpassing Jackie Joyner-Kersee with her first medal in the 400.
