U.S. track star dons Canada cap while wife competes in heptathlon
Wearing the gear of a rival nation has got to be one of the biggest faux pas among athletes at the Olympics. Unless you're Ashton Eaton, of course.
The American is the obvious exception to the unwritten rule as he continued his tradition of supporting his Canadian wife, Brianne Theisen-Eaton, and proudly wearing Canadian attire during the women's heptathlon on Friday.

Television cameras captured Ashton showing an array of emotions as Theisen-Eaton competed in the high jump portion of the heptathlon, with the tension appearing to get the best of Eaton at times.

The decathlon star was previously pictured supporting America's neighbors to the north during the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow when he celebrated Theisen-Eaton's first-place finish while wearing a Canada shirt.
