Down five after two quarters, the Lithuanian men's basketball team needed a big second half on Tuesday night to defeat Nigeria.
While it wasn't always pretty, Lithuania fought back, using a 29-point third quarter to squeak by 89-80.
Jonas Maciulis and Mantas Kalnietis led the way with 21 points apiece for Lithuania, while Ike Diogu added 19 of his own for Nigeria.
After nearly blowing a 30-point lead to Brazil on Sunday, Lithuania showed their vulnerability once again Tuesday, and are more than fortunate to remain perfect in the tournament. Despite their shaky play, the Lithuanians now sit atop Group B with a 2-0 record.
Lithuania will face off against Argentina on Thursday night, in what will likely be their biggest challenge of the Olympics thus far.
Nigeria will look to bounce back against a Spanish side that will also be looking for their first win of the tournament.
