USA Basketball releases 57 finalists for 2021 Olympic men's team
USA Basketball announced its lengthy list of finalists for the 2021 United States Olympic men's team Thursday.
There are 42 previously selected players on the list joined by 15 newcomers, bringing the total to 57 finalists.
"With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics from 2020 to 2021, it's important that we continue to remain flexible and consider all players who can contribute to our efforts to field the best USA team possible," USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo said in a statement. "These additions we are announcing today will help ensure that we are doing that."

The 12-player roster for the U.S. Olympic men's team will be announced later this year.
