Ryan Getzlaf: Game-time decision Saturday
Coach Bruce Boudreau indicated Friday that if Getzlaf (lower body) "says he's ready to go, then he'll play," but he's considered a game-time call for the contest against the Kings on Saturday.
Analysis:
Getzlaf ended up being a late scratch for Thursday's contest because of the lower-body issue, but it sounds as though it shouldn't keep him out too long. His status for Saturday remains to be seen, but the Ducks could certainly use their captain for a tough draw with the team's cross-town rivals. He obviously needs to be utilized in season-long leagues if he's playing, so check back on game day for an updated status.
