Nilsson's struggles in net this season (3.14 GAA, .901 save percentage) haven't done him any favors with the club, and he's now been sent to the AHL affiliate as a result. The 25-year-old Swede will likely rejoin the team again later in the campaign, while Laurent Brossoit was recalled to take his spot as the backup goaltender for the time being.
