Talbot was held pointless in 10 previous games with the Bruins this season, and managed only three assists in 18 contests with Boston in 2014-15.
The 31-year-old now has three goals and four assists in 14 games against the Penguins in his career. He spent six seasons with the Penguins, who drafted him in the eighth round of the 2002 draft.
