Logan Couture: Undergoes arterial surgery
Couture (thigh) underwent an operation to close a bleeding artery in his thigh Thursday night and is out indefinitely.
Analysis:
Couture's injury isn't related to his previous ankle ailment, as many had feared. However, the San Jose alternate captain cannot seem to catch a break this season, as he suffered the injury playing in just his fifth period of hockey since returning from his aforementioned ankle injury. The only good news that came from this update is that GM Doug Wilson doesn't expect this current absence to be long term.
