Sharks activate Couture after 23-game absence
There's another fish in the water.
The San Jose Sharks activated Logan Couture off injured reserve Monday, the club announced.
Couture suffered a broken fibula in practice in mid-October. He had surgery and was expected to miss between four-to-six weeks. He put up one assist in three games before being hurt.
The 26-year-old practiced on a line with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward on Monday, according to CSN's Kevin Kurz.
Couture: "You’ll have to ask Pete, but I’ve told him I feel like I’m ready to go. We’ll see what the lineup is but I feel pretty good.”

Head coach Peter DeBoer wouldn't confirm that Couture would play Tuesday in Calgary against the Flames, but it appears he'll be back in the lineup.
Couture enjoyed a career year in 2014-15. He played in all 82 games, scoring 27 goals, and finishing with personal highs in assists (40) and points (67). He'll be a big addition to a Sharks team currently averaging 2.7 goals a game, which ranks 13th in the NHL.
