Brandon Prust has wasted little time getting acclimated to the still-simmering rivalry between the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins.
The newest antagonist joked after practice Sunday that the $5,000 fine he received from the NHL's Department of Player Safety for spearing Boston's Brad Marchand below the midsection was the "best money I ever spent."
"I thought that's what would happen," he added, when reporters asked if he took issue with the sanction. "It wasn't that hard, and he sold it pretty good. I saw him laughing on the bench after, so I don't think he's too hurt."
Prust was given a 10-minute misconduct for his transgression.
