Flyers honor Simon Gagne, son steals show
Prior to their game against the Los Angeles Kings, the Philadelphia Flyers honored a former member of both teams Tuesday - retired forward Simon Gagne.
The 35-year-old was joined by his two children as he dropped the puck for the ceremonial faceoff.

After completing their ceremonial duties, Gagne's son stole the show, doing his best to fire up the Flyers faithful while walking off the ice.
Asked how special it was to go on the ice and drop the puck with his family, the 14-year veteran gave a heartfelt response.
"A lot of emotion," Gagne said. "That's the first thing that comes to my mind, having the family here, my friends, my kids, the people that I know. My dad passed away, I wish he was here tonight, but like I said, a lot of emotion and really a lot of class from the Flyers to do something like this."
Gagne played 691 of his 822 NHL games with the Flyers, but won the only Stanley Cup of his career with the Kings in 2012. He was also a member of the gold medal-winning Canadian team at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.
It was the third ceremony for a retired player held at the Wells Fargo Center this season, with Danny Briere and Kimmo Timonen honored earlier in the year.
