Los Angeles Kings defenseman Christian Ehrhoff left with an apparent upper-body injury and isn't expected to return after receiving a heavy hit from Nashville Predators forward Mike Ribeiro late in the second period.
Ehrhoff remained on the ice for a few moments following the hit, but got up on his own, accompanied by the Kings' trainer.
Ribeiro received a minor penalty for boarding on the play.
Last season, Ehrhoff was limited to just 49 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, missing time with a concussion.
