Capitals sign Tim McGauley to 3-year, entry-level deal, assign to WHL

Washington Capitals general manager Brian MacLellan announced the signing of forward Tim McGauley to a three-year, entry-level contract Monday.
The 20-year-old center recorded 105 points with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League last season, earning Eastern Conference Player of the Year honors.
He attended Capitals training camp on a professional try out.
McGauley will return to Brandon for the 2015-16 season.
