The New Jersey Devils AHL affiliate, the Albany Devils, have restructured their front office.
Devils general manager Ray Shero will take over as the team's governor while New Jersey's assistant GM Tom Fitzgerald will become Albany's GM, the team announced Wednesday.
Fitzgerald served as assistant GM with the Pittsburgh Penguins for five years after originally being hired by then-Pens GM Shero as director of player development.
The 47-year-old joined the Devils as assistant GM on July 24.
