Canadian forward Colby Genoway, 31, has been plying his trade over in Europe in recent years, with little fanfare.

Early on in his tenure with KHL club Medvescak Zagreb, however, Genoway made a name for himself by dropping a stunning shootout move to secure the victory over Metallurg on Tuesday.

Genoway went undrafted after three years at the University of North Dakota, leading a team that featured NHL forwards Drew Stafford and Travis Zajac in scoring with 44 points back in 2004-05.

He spent five seasons in the AHL before moving overseas, and has recorded two assists to go along with this shootout winner in his first four KHL games.
