Mike Keenan earned the nickname "Iron Mike" for his coaching style in the NHL, so naturally, he appears in a new KHL promo playing a man who ruled the Soviet Union with an iron fist.
The Metallurg Magnitogorsk head coach plays the role of Vladimir Lenin in a new promotional video released by the club Monday.
His assistant coaches also play revolutionaries, and the historical reenactment appears to be a metaphor for the team's quest to win the Gagarin Cup.
Keenan became the first North American head coach to win the KHL championship in 2014.
Silent film promos really need to become a trend.
