Rangers agree to terms with Jesper Fast on reported 2-year, 1.9M deal

The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with forward Jesper Fast.

The 23-year-old was a restricted free agent who split 2014-15 with the Rangers and their AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports the contract is a two-year deal worth a total of $1.9 million.

Fast scored six goals and added eight assists in 58 games with the NHL club, adding nine points in 11 games at the AHL level.

He carried a cap hit of about $700,000 before agreeing to the new deal Wednesday.

Fast was a sixth-round pick by the Rangers in 2010.
