The Philadelphia Flyers signed their 2015 first-round pick Friday.
The team announced the signing of defenseman Ivan Provorov to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Flyers picked the Russian - who some considered the top defenseman available - with the seventh overall pick in this year's draft.
Provorov had 15 goals and 61 points in 60 games for the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings last season.
