Islanders, Thomas Hickey agree to reported 3-year, $6.6-million deal

The New York Islanders have locked down another defenseman, extending Thomas Hickey on a three-year deal.

He'll earn $2.2. million per season, according to Newsday's Arthur Staple.

Hickey made 81 appearances for the Islanders last season. He chipped in with 22 points, and skated primarily in a bottom-pairing capacity.
