The ball is in Mike Ribeiro's court.
The Nashville Predators have reached out to the 35-year-old center with an official contract offer, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Ribeiro is set to become an unrestricted free agent once his one-year, $1.5-million contract expires July 1.
The 15-year veteran scored 15 goals and added 47 assists with a 56.7 Corsi For rating at even strength in 82 games for the Predators this past season, and is reportedly seeking a contract with term.
He's also alleged to have sexually assaulted his family's 18-year-old nanny in 2012, which doesn't appear to hinder Nashville's interest in retaining his services.
