The Anaheim Ducks like scoring in bunches.
The Ducks nearly stole Saturday's Game 4 of the Western Conference Final from the Chicago Blackhawks with three third-period goals in 37 seconds and then they scored twice in a 32-second span to take a quick lead in Monday's Game 5.
Defenseman Cam Fowler opened the scoring 5:10 into the contest with a blistering wrist shot through traffic for his first goal since the opening round of the playoffs. Ryan Kesler added to the advantage on the following shift by redirecting a long shot by Jakob Silfverberg to fool a sprawling Corey Crawford.
Chicago did not register its first shot on goal until late in the first period.
