Capitals' Jason Chimera has 'no doubts' Alex Ovechkin will score in Game 6
Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin isn't making any grand declarations, no longer promising to produce "all series long."
But his teammate served up something of the sort.
Jason Chimera fell short of a guarantee, but relayed the confidence he has in his captain to come through on the scoresheet in Sunday's Game 6 versus the New York Rangers.
"You can't keep a guy like that down too long," he told reporters. "When he's getting his looks and he's playing hard, you're not going to stop him. You can limit his looks, but they're eventually going to go in for him.
"I have no doubts that he's going to score a big goal for us (Sunday)."
Ovechkin has been held without a point in his last three games and has seen his shot totals drop from contest to contest as a result of the Rangers defence clogging up shooting lanes. He's had 13 shots blocked in the series, including six in Game 5.
