Capitals' Burakovsky on Game 4: 'I wanted to prove I don't belong in the stands'

From healthy scratch to Game 4 hero, Andre Burakovsky is getting the full experience in his first taste of NHL playoff action.

The Washington Capitals rookie began the postseason watching from the press box but eventually found his way into the lineup. After recording one assist in his first seven playoff contests, Burakovsky scored twice Wednesday to lift Washington over the New York Rangers.

"I wanted to prove I don't belong in the stands," Burakovsky told reporters after the game.

Burakovsky can smile about Friday's Game 5, because there's no way coach Barry Trotz can leave him out of the lineup after Wednesday's performance.
