Report: Coyotes can trigger $50M exit clause after another massive fiscal loss

When the Arizona Coyotes have their books balanced later this month, they will be presented an option to stop the bleeding.
The Coyotes are expected to have lost enough money to eclipse $50 million in total losses since 2013, which will trigger an exit clause negotiated with the city of Glendale, according to TSN's Rick Westhead.
If the team chooses, they can report their losses to Glendale City Council and cut bait by paying out $50 million, minus the city's income from its revenue-sharing arrangement with the club.
The Coyotes claimed $34.8 million in losses last season.
