The Nashville Predators have signed free-agent defenseman Kristian Nakyva to an entry-level contract.
Nakyva tied for the Swedish Hockey League lead in goals by a blue-liner with 10 in his first season with Lulea. He ranked fifth at the position in points with 29 and eighth in assists with 19.
The 24-year-old spent three years with JYP in the Finnish Elite League, placing in the top 10 in points among defensemen in 2012-13 and 2013-14.
