Bergeron, Toews and Kopitar are Selke nominees for the 2nd straight season
The NHL prides itself on parity, but there's little variance when it comes to the league's premier defensive forwards.
Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron, Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews and Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar have been named finalists for the Frank J. Selke Trophy for the second straight season.
Bergeron edged Kopitar on the ballot last June and has two of the last three Selke trophies. He can match Pavel Datsyuk, Guy Carbonneau and Jere Lehtinen for the second-most all time should he capture the award for a third time.
Kopitar was also named a finalist for the Lady Byng, the award handed out to the player who best exhibits sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct.
Toews was named the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game in 2013.
