A postseason miss means much-needed rest for the Los Angeles Kings, save for those in the first family of Slovenian hockey.

Anze Kopitar will fulfill his duty to his country and father, head coach Matjaz Kopitar, when he suits up for Slovenia at the World Hockey Championships next month.

"It's kind of hard to say no to your dad," he said

It might be a chore for Kopitar, but it will be a huge boost for the team. Slovenia will be well-equipped to compete in the top division after winning entrance into the main draw last year.
