Maple Leafs recall Colton Orr for final game
Former Toronto Maple Leafs pugilist Colton Orr will be honored by the club in their final game of the regular season.
The Maple Leafs have recalled Orr and plan to play him Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens as a thank you for his service to the team, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reported.
The 33-year-old winger was held pointless in 14 games for the club's AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. He has spent the last six seasons in the Maple Leafs organization.
The Leafs have nothing on the line but draft-lottery positioning in their final game, while the Canadiens have clinched an Eastern Conference playoff berth.
Orr will be a free agent at season's end.
