The Washington Capitals are adding some firepower.
The club recalled winger Stanislav Galiev from the AHL's Hershey Bears, with whom he has scored a team-high 25 goals in 64 games.
Galiev also leads the AHL in power-play goals with 15.
A member of the 2011 Memorial Cup champion St. John Sea Dogs, Galiev was selected 86th overall at the 2010 NHL Draft after displaying an offensive propensity at the QMJHL level.
The call-up marks a first for Galiev, who could make his NHL debut as early as Wednesday against the Boston Bruins.
