Jets' Dustin Byfuglien to have phone hearing after cross-check on Rangers' J.T. Miller
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien will have a phone hearing Thursday regarding his cross-check to New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller in the team's 3-2 loss Tuesday.
NHL Player Safety announced the decision Wednesday.
Byfuglien cross-checked Miller late in the second period in what some deemed to look like he was trying to decapitate the Rangers forward. The 30-year-old was not given a penalty on the play.
Byfuglien is not a repeat offender.
