The Toronto Maple Leafs introduced their newest member to the Air Canada Centre crowd on Saturday night.

Garrett Gamble, an 11-year-old from Duck Lake, Sask., has Mucopolysaccharidosis IVA, or Morquio Syndrome.

The Maple Leafs signed him to a one-day contract earlier Saturday, and he took the ice with Wendel Clark before the evening's game against the Ottawa Senators.

Gamble's dream was to drop the puck at a Maple Leafs game and bring his family with him. He got to do just that on Saturday night, conducting the ceremonial faceoff between Dion Phaneuf and Erik Karlsson.

That's heartwarming stuff. Bravo, Maple Leafs.
