Edmonton Oilers goaltender Richard Bachman will be in the crease for Friday's game against the Dallas Stars.

Analysis:

Though Ben Scrivens probably isn't the Oilers' long-term solution in the net, it appears Bachman has already been dismissed as such, as the 27-year-old owns a 14-14-0 career record to go along with a 3.12 GAA and .898 save percentage over 39 career appearances. Incidentally, all 14 of those victories came when he was a member of the Stars, as he's taken the loss in each of his four starts since joining the Oilers' organization. Though he'll have plenty incentive to turn in a solid outing against his former team, there's little to suggest that Bachman is capable of putting the clamps on the one of the NHL's better attacks.
