At least one Toronto Maple Leafs fan walked away happy Thursday night.

During the team's 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers, Leafs forward Richard Panik was assessed a 10-minute misconduct after he used his stick to send Panthers forward Brandon Pirri's stick flying into the stands.

The stick landed in the lap of one lucky fan, who took home a nice souvenir.

Panik wasn't pleased with the call, but he was happy to know the fan walked away with something.

"At least the kid got a stick," Panik told reporters after the game.

At least there's some optimism in the Leafs' dressing room these days.
