After being one of the hottest commodities near the trade deadline, defenseman Andrej Sekera finally has his first goal as a member of the Los Angeles Kings

The 28-year-old was acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes just days before the deadline. He had played 11 games as a King coming into Monday's game against the New Jersey Devils without scoring a goal.

That changed in the first period when, after taking a drop-pass from Anze Kopitar, Sekera blasted a slapshot over the catching glove of Cory Schneider

Sekera now has one goal and two assists in 12 games with Los Angeles.
