Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason is likely to be in the crease for Saturday's game against the New York Rangers.
Mason is expected to start, according to Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The netminder relieved Rob Zepp on Thursday, making his first appearance since suffering a knee injury on Feb. 8.
He stopped eight of the nine shots he faced in a 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, despite admitting earlier that day that he wasn't ready to play.
Mason underwent surgery to have 60 percent of his meniscus removed on Feb. 10.
