Kulikov received a five-minute major for clipping and a 10-minute game misconduct Friday for a hit he dished out on Stars forward Tyler Seguin.

Analysis:

Kulikov caught Seguin with a low hit that upended him just inside the Florida blueline. The incident occurred with 6:55 remaining in regulation and sent Seguin, the NHL's third-leading scorer, sprawling to the ice. Seguin left the game and did not return, with Stars coach Lindy Ruff saying afterward that he expected the forward to miss "some time." Kulikov is fourth on the Panthers in average ice time this season (21:50) and has no history of suspensions. That could definitely change, as his hit Friday could be worthy of supplementary discipline. We will likely know more Saturday.
