Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Wild was tough to swallow for the Vancouver Canucks after a controversial call in the third period robbed them of a goal.

The Canucks could have tied the game with their two quick goals later in the period if that initial goal was allowed, but coach Willie Desjardins took the high road after the contest and refused to blame the officiating for the loss.

Vancouver fired 37 shots on Minnesota netminder Devan Dubnyk, who improved to 5-1-1 with the Wild.
