NHL exec: Oilers don't want to discuss trading Hall, Eberle
The Edmonton Oilers are shying away from another promise.
As the trade market heats up, there's said to be plenty of interest surrounding Edmonton's fleet of young forwards - namely Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle.
The intrigue could help facilitate the daring moves general manager Craig MacTavish once pledged. According to a rival executive, however, the Oilers won't even toy with the idea.
"It's surprising because you'd think they'd want to do something and there's plenty of interest," a league executive told the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch. "With where they're sitting and what's been happening, it doesn't sound like they even really want to discuss the possibility."
With their fans having cried uncle, it appears as though Oiler brass have moved on to irritating their peers.
