Sharks provide justice for all with win over Kings on 'Metallica Night'
When it comes to hockey, nothing else matters.
The San Jose Sharks paid tribute to legendary rock band Metallica during Wednesday's win over the Los Angeles Kings. Members of the band were welcomed home to Southern California and honored by the club with their own special issue jerseys, which were appropriately faded to black.

Lead singer James Hetfield, a San Diego native, has been attending Sharks games since the team's inception, and was given the opportunity to announce the starting lineup.
"This is an honor to be able to hook up and keep it local. We love that," Hetfield told Kevin Kurz of CSN. "The fact that we’re considered a mainstay of this area - obviously the Sharks are as well. You join together, it makes sense."
The Sharks prevailed by a score of 4-2, providing a nice way to turn the page on the first half of the season.
