Report: NHL All-Star Game will feature player draft format
The next Logan Couture is set to be revealed at the the National Hockey League All-Star Game.
Couture, of course, was the final pick in the draft that preceded the 2012 event, earning a new vehicle as a consolation prize for the potential embarrassment.
With the 2015 All-Star Game set for Jan. 25 in Columbus, the draft format will once again be employed to select the teams, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Friedman reported the following on the "Headlines" segment of "Hockey Night in Canada":
(The Draft is) going to be back, from what I understand. The All-Star Game is going to be back in a very similar format to what we'd seen the last time ... So that means the player draft, and I'm told there will be cars involved.
While the first six All-Stars were named earlier Saturday, the captains for the game have yet to be announced.
