Rangers confirm Stempniak out with mumps

Add Lee Stempniak's name to the NHL's mumps hit list.
The New York Rangers have confirmed that the forward tested positive for the virus. He appears to be on the mend, however, as he took to the ice Monday and is expected to practice with the team Tuesday.
Stempniak hasn't played since Dec. 16.
