Ben Bishop may want to bring an apple to the rink on Tuesday.
The Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender practiced with the team and said he felt ready to return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins after being out since Dec. 16 with a lower-body injury.
The only potential hiccup is the fact he hasn't been cleared to play by the club's medical staff.
Bishop posted a record of 16-6-2 with a .913 save percentage in 26 appearances prior to suffering the injury during the Lightning's last game against the Penguins.
