Analysis:

Larsson has been over the mumps for a few days now, but because he hadn't played since the first week of December, the Devils wanted him to get in a game in the minors before rejoining the big club. After coming out of Friday's game with Albany no worse for the wear, he'll be an option for the Devils on Saturday as a member of the second or third pairing.
