Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason has an upper-body injury that will keep him out of both Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Sunday's contest in Winnipeg against the Jets, the team announced.

Mason left practice on Friday. Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reported that he would not be not traveling with the Flyers to Toronto.

"We will have an update on Monday," general manager Ron Hextall said.

Philadelphia will play eight consecutive road games, beginning on Saturday, before returning home for a Jan. 6 contest against the Ottawa Senators.
