The injury suffered by Steve Mason is enough to keep him grounded.

The Philadelphia Flyers' goalie, injured during practice Friday, did not join the club for a flight to Toronto for Saturday's tilt with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chris Johnston of Sportsnet reported.

General manager Ron Hextall announced Mason is being evaluated by the team's medical staff, and the extent of the injury will be made known once the results are in.
