The New Jersey Devils have assigned defenseman Adam Larsson to the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League for conditioning, the club announced Thursday.
Larsson, 22, has played third-pairing minutes for the Devils this season while taking a regular shift on the penalty kill. The 2011 first-round pick fell ill with the mumps earlier this month and hasn't played since Dec. 2.
He'll be in the Albany lineup on Friday when they face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
