The New Jersey Devils don't score often, but when they do, Jaromir Jagr moves up in the NHL record books.
On Monday night Jagr recorded two first-period assists, the first of which - a secondary assist on a Marek Zidlicky power-play goal - gave Jagr sole possession of the seventh spot on the NHL's all-time assists leaderboard.
Jagr, 42, is currently the fifth-highest NHL scorer of all-time. He's now 14 assists away from matching Adam Oates' 1,079 career assists and moving up to sixth in career helpers.
