Boychuk (upper body) resumed practicing with the team Friday, Newsday's Arthur Staple reports.
Analysis:
Boychuk will miss his eighth consecutive game Saturday due to the injury, but it appears a return could be forthcoming for the defenseman. He appears to be further behind in his recovery than fellow injured blueliner Travis Hamonic, but if he's able to continue to practice over the next couple of days, he could return to the lineup at some point next week.
